Before you begin
- A work order or delivery target with testable acceptance criteria
Create a test plan
Start from the acceptance criteria and identify happy paths, permission boundaries, failure recovery, data integrity, and regression risk. Assign an owner for manual checks.
Review coverage
Check that automated and manual tests prove behavior instead of only exercising code. Link each important criterion to at least one verification step.
Complete the checklist
Record the result and evidence for each checklist item. Do not mark a blocked or skipped check as passed; capture its reason and release impact.
Record revisions
When scope or implementation changes, create a revision that preserves the prior plan and explains the delta. Re-run affected checks before final approval.
